Privacy at myip.mk
An IP-checking service must process the address used to connect to it. This page explains that limited processing, what the site does not collect in the browser, and where ordinary hosting infrastructure may still create operational logs.
Data needed to answer a request
The web server receives your IP address because it is required for internet communication. myip.mk uses it to return the requested page or API response and, when appropriate, to request network-registration and approximate geolocation fields. A manually entered public IP is processed in the same way for the lookup you request.
No accounts, advertising, or analytics cookies
The site does not require registration, profiles, email addresses, or payment details. The current interface does not load advertising networks, behavioral analytics, social pixels, or browser fingerprinting scripts. It does not intentionally set a user-tracking cookie. Language choice is carried in the URL rather than a tracking identifier.
Logs and temporary enrichment cache
Like most hosted services, the web server and security systems may keep short operational logs for reliability, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. Network-enrichment responses may be cached temporarily by IP address to improve speed and reduce dependency on an upstream service. Personalized web and API responses themselves use no-store cache directives.
Third-party network data and accuracy
Approximate network information is obtained from an external IP data provider. The provider receives the IP being enriched and applies its own operational practices. Location results can be outdated or point to a network office rather than the user. Do not use this service to identify a person or make decisions about eligibility, safety, or legal status.
